The Fab 6!

Jason,Ross,Melanie,Alton,Meagen,&Steven
Prayers do come true.. My oldest brother Jason got married when i was in the 3rd grade and Ross left to live in Oregon when i was in the first grade and so we all got seperated and lives went in seperate directions. But i prayed every night that one day all 6 of us would be reunited togather again with my mom. I mean we all saw each other but never all at once. Its hard to get all 6 in the same place at once. After 21 years (yikes) we all got togather and spent 4 wonderful days in Park City Utah with are spouses, children and our Mother...So many wonderful Memories were made.. and after many years of prayers God Answered!

From Puppy to Beast in One years time!

The Power of Tithing.

So one of my dearest friends Jessy has told me Megs if you pay your tithing the lord will bless you. Well my husband is not a member of my church so i never really thought about tithing. Untill January. I tithed out of my own paycheck, its not much but its somthing.. So the week after i thithed it was a thursday, a very cold thursday, black ice everywhere. and i live out in the country. My kids were waiting in front of our home for the school bus that stops in front of the house. They saw the bus coming so i said they could walk down the driveway just like they do every morning. As the bus was coming to a stop and the lights turned on and the stop sign came out and at the very exact moment my kids stepped out on the road a car from the ooposite direction was going about 60 mph and did not pay any attention to the roads or the bus..he saw my kids and the bus and slammed on the brakes which sent his car into a 360 spin and flipped the car he had two ways to go right into my kids or right across from them into the enbankment. His car rolled right into the enbankment 7 feet from my kids.. Sheer panic hit me in knowing how it all could of went if his tires went the other way. I know by paying my tithing i was blessed beyond my wildest dreams and i know their Grandad had his hands upon those children!!!

A little behind on blogging...

Snow Storm of 2008

The night the snow storm began.. The never ending snow storm of 08!
Duke wanted his picture taken too...he LOVED the snow!

The boys on the trampoline the first night the snow started falling. By the end there was over 2 feet of snow on the trampoline and it was sagging to the ground.

The drooping tress in my front yard.

Mommy and Hannah getting ready to go on a night time sleding trip with the 4wheeler.

Wyatt loving the snow.

"CHEESE"

The snow began to fall on the valley floor and never stopped. The kids got our for christmas vacation a whole week before they were supposed too, Christmas programs were cancelled along with Christmas parties..Chains were a must on the roads, and i felt as if i lived back in Nebraska.. It was nice too see it, and play in it but after almost 2 and half feet of it, i was ready for it to GO!! =]

In Loving Memory Of George "Jeep" Hatch II, ~Dec 1953 - Nov 2007

All 6 grandkids wrote letters and attached them to balloons and wanted to send them to Heaven so the angles could give it to Grandad. Today one year ago he was taken from our lives, and has been missed and loved so much everyday!
Up, up, and away!

"GOODBYE"

The skies truned a beautiful color and Hannah said the angels gave us such a pretty view.

" We love you Grandad and miss you so much"

Jokes on Mom!

Wyatt has had an Awful day with making some bad choices.. Let me remind myself Wyatt made bad choices and is not a bad kid... Although today i asked myself ALOT
"is my child really like some of those children you see on Super Nanny, o my gosh im a bad mom!" So Wyatt loves to read books, loves them.. His grandma Bev takes him to Goodwill to pick out new books all the time. Well she found this beautiful Christmas book full of Chritmas stories...I walked into the liveing room today to find the book Torn apart and pages shreded.. I thought to myself did the dog get in here? And then quickly George said I DIDNT DO IT,WYATT DID! I looked at Wyatt and Said "wyatt how could you have done that to the books?" he simply said "because i wanted too". I was so mad.. I sent him to his room took his toys away and his books because he showed mommy he could not be responsable to have toys or books.. He was mad and for the next two hours he yelled, " i hate you" "your mean" "i want a new mommy" followed by some of these "i changed my mind can i come out" I love you mommy" " your beautiful" "can i please come out i will be a good boy" " JUST ONE MORE CHANCE PLEASE" I simply answered NO! Then then came the door slamming and all the mean words.. Later on i walked into his room to find little peices of orange stuff all over his floor. i saw George's Beaver football shaped hat torn up.. i looked at Wyatt, and all i heard from him was "gulp".. I was so flaming mad. I took his bedding and moved him to the living room in the corner where he could not see the tv and could not have any fun. i told him i could not trust him in his room or with anyones stuff in fear that he would destroy it... He sat there, and then i called him for a early dinner then bath. Then put him back in his "new room" well he fell asleep fast... at 6 pm.. He woke up at 10:30.... and now i cant get him to sleep.. So looks like jokes on Mom...Dear Lord get me through the night....=]

My little Helper

Hannah has been so much help latley.. Im loving that she is almost 8 and able to do most everything for herself.. At first when she wanted to fold clothes or do dishes i cringed because i wanted it done well my way, neat and clean and tidy. But i had too learn to let go. Not having the best folded clothes is okay...I love how cheerful she is about helping out. And i thought to myself i better take advantage now cause im guessing i have like 3 more years before it becomes a battle for her to help out...

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!?

George is a HUGE Beaver fan! Some good friends of ours gave Eddy and George some tickets to one of the games a few weeks ago! Daddy and George had a BLAST! And the Beavers WON! After the game George was able to go down on the feild he thought that was pretty neat! I ask him all the time what he is going to be when he grows up and his answer is always the same, "a Beaver football player"...

Let the bread burn..

So last week i was multi tasking as usual. I think its in the job description as a mom. I went out to get some wood for the fire place and i piled the wood sky high so i would have to make less trips. When i came in, i kicked off my flip flops and at that time i smelt the garlic bread in the oven starting to burn so sped up my pace went around the corner and SLAMMED my foot into the vacume cleaner..I had just finished vacuming and spaced i left it out and couldnt see it due to all the wood i was carrying.. Needless to say the logs went everywhere, thank goodness not on my foot. I went down to the ground wanting to swear every word i could think of untill i realized i had 3 little ones saying " Mommy, mommy are you okay.. Do you know that there is wood everywhere" it was at that point i said threw my tears hey kids mom needs to be by herself for one minute whild she says some really bad words LOL... So i broke my toe.. It has been a week today. and its feeling better still pretty bruised but better so i thought it would be a nice day to slam it on the steps .. Yea that one HURT... I should of just let the bread burn...

Fishing anyone?

Before the school year began we were able to go out as a family on the boat and do some fishing.. we fished for several hours on the river, um it was not a good day to say the least.. Eddy cought this itty bitty sqwa fish maybe 2 and half inches lol... But i caught this bass, mind you it wasnt very big but i sooo out fished Eddy.. He was not very happy about that hehehe...So the kids all had to touch it, and then we sent it make to the river... After 3 hours of pretty much nothing we took the kids down the river towards Portland and looked at all the BEAUTIFUL houses and their own personal boat houses and launches....I have to admit i was a tad jealouse to see how breathtaking their houses were and their perfect yards...But when i looked into my children's beautiful faces that day, i realized how truly blessed i was to have such healthy happy kids who could care less if our home isint perfect, if our boat isint the best, or our flowers werent as beautiful. They were just happy to be togather as a family that day having fun...And that is what really matters in life.. Besides with the economy crashing most of those homes will probally forclose anyways LOL....

George's 6th Birthday. August 17th 2008

Holy cow my little boy is growing so fast, too fast! I cant believe he is already 6!! I have been blessed with such a sweet boy who's heart is as big as himself..always willing to share with his brother and sister, always willing to help me out in the kitchen, always going out to the barn to do dad's chores when he has to work late... I just love him so much...He has a smile that will warm your heart..

Like father, like son.

Eddy and his father have put in for antelope tags every year for the last 13 years, and every year
they were not given the tags due to the lack of antelope in Oregon and how extremely hard it is to get a tag.. Well what do you know this year Eddy was given his tag.. It was a bitter sweet moment for him one because he was so excited to finally go hunt an antelope and two it was given to him the year his dad passed away. I told him to think of it as a gift from his dad..So many of his friends and family members wanted to go with Eddy on his trip to Eastern Oregon but Eddy only had one person in mind to go with him and that was his son George..They left for their 5 day trip and Eddy was blessed with this antelope on his 3rd day out on George's 6th birthday august 17th, another gift from his dad i believe...

My memory of 9/11

september 11th, 2001

This morning will forever be etched in my mind forever. The alarm went off at 5 am, and as i dragged my sorry butt out of bed to make Eddy's breakfast and lunch i was thinking okay just be quiet enough so that my 5 month old baby girl Hannah will not wake up and i can crawl back into bed when Eddy leaves.. As i stumbled to the kitchen half awake i switched the tv on.. Not really hearing what was going on. Half way threw Eddy's lunch making i reconized a voice and it was Diane Swayers.. I thought to myself why are they airing good morning america at eastern time in Oregon? I finished with Eddy's breakfast, and then glanced at the tv and saw the north tower being displayed and on fire. Eddy and i quickly disccused what could of possiable done this. Eddy said it had to be some sort of small private plane. Not thinking for a moment that it was terriost. We just figured that some guy got mixed up with directions..I thought it was some kind of bomb. As Eddy and i stared at this live feed so early in the morning on the west coast, we watched the 2nd airplane crash into tower 2 live. My mouth dropped.. I looked at him in fear and said was that what i think it is.. Eddy said Yes, and that was not a small plane..It was in that moment we knew this day would be written in the history books forever.. Eddy had to go to work, and i was wide awake..I heard Hannah crying and i was so happy to go grab her out of her crib and hold on to her for dear life, as i watched these poor people trapped, scared, and then taking their own lives into their own hands and jumping to their deaths instead of burning in that heat. I picked up the phone. I had to reach my best friend Jessy, i had to wake her and tell her we were being attacked. She was living in Bend with her parents. Her Dad answered the phone half asleep. He said Meggy its way to early for you to call.. I said DON GO TURN ON YOUR TV WE ARE BEING ATTACKED!!! I sat Holding Hannah i will never ever forget the feeling of HORROR and disbelief when i watched the first tower fall live. My heart broke into a million peices.. So many lives gone in a blink of a eye. I thought to myself why was i so lucky to be sitting in my recliner with my beautiful baby girl in this small town that most people have never heard of away from danger? Suddleny living in our first small home a single wide mobile home with green shag carpets was the best place to be and how lucky was i too be there. As most other people i watched that tv all day flipping threw channels trying to digest all the information, watching the pentagon, then the crash in Pennsilvania, watching the nightmare unfold in New York.. When Eddy got home that evening, he kind of chuckled because i was still in my pj's sitting with Hannah in the same chair... I ran to him wrapped my arms around him so tight and just cried, and cried. My heart goes out to all of those who lost their lives and their families who were forever changed that day... How incrediable strong were you all to experience those awful days and witness death, heartache, distruction first hand. Even thow 7 years have gone by i think all of those families and now the troops who fight for our freedom and to protect us so another dooms day will not occure could all use our prayers...Im so blessed to live in this country, we are not perfect but we have it so much better then most. Im so blessed to have an amazing family who i can count on when days are tough.. God Bless everyone!
